What you'll do
Make your own unique decoration using a sustainably UK-sourced air plant!
Combine your love of plants and home decor with this creative online craft class and make your own bauble containing a beautiful air plant to hang in your home.
Your plant-pro teacher will send you an open-topped bauble and all the materials you need to create a gorgeous ornament as part of a lovingly packed DIY craft kit. All you need to do is open your craft box in time for your class and get making.
These beautiful air plant baubles are perfect for a little treat for yourself, or as a gift experience for a loved one. Take some time out to get creative and make something unique. Make your bauble solo and give it as a handmade present to someone special, or enjoy this class with your colleagues, friends or family as part of a virtual party or catch-up.
All the materials you'll use to make your bauble are sustainably sourced so if you're keen to have a greener 2023, you can rest easy with this online class. You'll make the base of your terrarium style bauble using Shell on Earth substrate which is made from recycled crushed whelk shells. And your air plant is sourced from UK suppliers to reduce carbon footprint.
Your bauble is glass so be extra careful.
By the end of your craft class, you'll have made your own bauble to hang in your home or give to someone special!
What you'll get in your craft kit
- 8cm glass bauble.
- 1 x air plant (you'll be sent one at random but get in touch with your teacher if you have a specific request).
- Shell on Earth substrate for base.
- Wooden tweezers.

No Plant Left Behind (NPLB) was set up following the first COVID-19 lockdown after Amy (the owner) was partway through a university research project on growing from zero waste. The lockdown resulted in this project being taken home which gave her a new perspective on everyday life, the waste we produce and the lack of consideration for the planet.
NPLB was set up to promote sustainability in the houseplant industry and to encourage others to think more about where their products come from. All of our plants are either donated, grown from waste and cuttings using sustainable products, or bought from other UK-based sustainable small businesses.
Amy is a qualified Landscape Architect who specialises in Ecology, graduating in 2021 from the University of Sheffield. During/ after her studies, she placed all of her plant and industry knowledge to ensure that NPLB is 100% sustainable and grows as much 'waste' as possible.
