Sink your hands into something new with this fun full-day wheel throwing workshop in London!

Perfect for complete beginners, this crash course will take you from pottery novice to wheel throwing wonder in just one day!

With the expert guidance and support of skilled potter, Vinicius Les, you will learn all the basic techniques required to create your very own pot whilst picking up some top tips along the way.

As this course is run in a small group of only 6 students, you can bank on plenty of hands-on support which is sure to fast-track you to some serious pottery making skills.

Finish your day of pottery fun with a sense of calm only clay can provide. Your pot will then be fired and glazed, ready to be picked up two weeks later.

Please note:

  • Your works must be collected no later than 14 days after you have been notified that your pieces have been fired, otherwise they will sadly have to be disposed of.
  • Materials and bisque firing are included, however, if you would like to decorate your pot with colours you are invited to book a separate painting and decorating session.
  • Long fingernails would stop you from enjoying your time on the wheel as this involves working with the fingertips.

Colour & Clay is a place, an idea and a refuge created during the COVID-19 pandemic by Vinicius Les and Boglarka Eliz Les-Varga.

Our aim is to help individuals to connect with each other, develop a new passion, for families to learn together with their children and enjoy some mental respite.

Vinicius is a London based ceramics artist and painter. He learned the skills of pottery and ceramics from a very young age in his father's studio. Having completed higher educational studies in both Ceramics and Fine Art-Painting, Vinicius embarked on a 10-year journey in London, creating and teaching what he loves and has a passion for: pottery and ceramics.

Working with various organisations, Vinicius has formed a strong interest and skill in teaching individuals of all abilities including individuals with physical or/and learning disabilities or difficulties by helping them find their voice through pottery and art.
