What you'll do
If you've been looking for ways to improve your focus, clear your mind after a long day of work or get past that creative block, give this virtual doodle art workshop a try. Hosted via Zoom by graphic designer and fine artist Ashima, you'll be diving into your own creativity as you let your hand flow freely to create some dazzling doodles.
Far from the idle scribbles in your school jotter, this art class is a guided session that helps promote mindfulness, creativity and confidence as you put pen to paper and see what comes out. By focusing on the drawing you'll help the stresses and responsibilities of your daily life melt away, connecting you to what's really important to you and interpreting that onto the page.
Don't worry if you haven't drawn anything since school — the class is designed for all ages and skill levels, so everyone can enjoy the benefits of tapping into your own creative wellspring. Ashima will also be on hand throughout the session with help and guidance if you need it. You'll come away from the class feeling creatively rejuvenated, with a unique piece of artwork to display with pride and the skills necessary to carry on this mindful practice in your own time.

Your teacher
Ashima Kumar is a visual artist, and art well-being practitioner, who uses doodle art as a tool for mindfulness and well-being. She is also the founder of Ashima Graphics, a design and creative studio and the force behind the increasingly popular “Doodle Art for Wellbeing Workshops”.
She has been working at the cutting edge of Graphic Design and Visual Art. Her creative works are an exploration of the world around her. Over the years she has studied the doodling technique and developed her own style of contemporary art. She has integrated this form into her art which has been exhibited in art galleries and art shows around the world to name a few; Art Basel Miami, Swiss Art Fair Zurich, Flux exhibition, Talented art fair and many more.
The Doodle Art for Wellbeing workshops were born out of deep personal exploration and research into doodle art. Over the years, Ashima has developed a unique personal style that fuses doodle art with traditional and digital media.
The workshops combine simple art forms, repetitive patterns and detailed instructions to help attendees discover unconscious thoughts, improve focus and enhance cognition. In the process the participants experience reduced levels of stress. The tools provided are meditative and expressive in nature and lead to an overall sense of well-being and accomplishment.
