Art Class on a Boat: Printmaking

Enjoy learning the art of lino printing on a boat in Portavon Marina.

3 hours Class size 2     label £50

Unleash your creativity whilst unwinding by the gentle waters of Portavon Marina on the River Avon between Bristol and Bath.

During this relaxing and arty experience, you will learn how to make your own hand-carved linocut, printed cards, wall art, postcards or bookmarks to decorate your home with — or, if you're feeling generous, share as handmade gifts to loved ones!

This art class will focus on guiding you through creative printmaking techniques and is a short introduction to how linocut art prints are made.

Best of all, this special printmaking workshop takes place in the tranquil setting of a (heated when chilly) 1970's ‘Caribbean Cruiser’. You will enjoy sitting on the front deck, overlooking the water, as you create your own lino print masterpiece whilst your friendly teacher and award-winning local artist, guides and inspires you.

You will have water based inks to experiment with along with high-quality Japanese printing paper for optimum results. At the end of this special art class on a boat, you can take home your masterpiece as well as your carved lino block that you can continue your journey into the world of printmaking!
