Come along to this kintsugi workshop in Bury and learn the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, creating something even more beautiful from its fractures.
This workshop is a wonderful introduction to this thoughtful craft, and absolutely no prior experience is necessary. You just need to bring your curiosity! You'll be guided through the process, learning how to celebrate imperfections rather than hiding them.
You will get to select from a choice of plates and bowls, ready to be repaired. You’ll learn the techniques to mend the broken pieces using gold, transforming them into a new, unique piece of art that tells its own story.
This class is all about embracing the journey of an object, fractures and all. You'll leave with not only your beautifully repaired item but also a new perspective on the beauty of resilience.
Please note:
  • This is an adults-only workshop.
  • Due to the special glue having nuts in it this workshop isn't suitable for those with allergies
