Your teacher
My name is Rachel Elliott and I'm a glass artist in Glasgow who specialises in kiln-formed glass, utilising traditional glass techniques with a quirky modern twist. I also go by the alter-ego name of FlyingCheeseToastie which is a bit of nonsense I've used over the years for my more whimsical work.Before establishing my studio, I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a BA(Hons) in Architectural Glass and I have exhibited my sculptures globally in group exhibitions. I have been teaching glassmaking techniques to people of all ages and abilities since 2007 and I'm happy to answer any questions people might have too.
