What you'll need

50g unsalted butter, softened.
1 x medium egg, beaten.
Weighing scales/measuring spoons.
Baking tray.
Mixing bowls.
Mixing spoons.
300g caster sugar for the science experiment.
Food colouring (optional).
Measuring jug.
An empty, clean glass jar (e.g jam jar or coffee jar).
