Join Emilia, founder of NomiStone, for a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to use Jesmonite, an eco-friendly casting material, to make your own modern homeware piece.
You’ll be guided through each step, from mixing and colouring the Jesmonite to pouring it into your chosen mould to create a dish or candle holder. You’ll also be able to try different effects like terrazzo, marbling and simple colour blends to personalise your piece.
Once it has set, you’ll demould, sand and seal your creation, ready to take home and use or display.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and anyone looking for a calm, creative experience and a chance to make something by hand.
What you'll get
Guests will receive all materials, pigments and tools, along with guided instruction throughout the workshop, a choice of mould designs, and their finished Jesmonite piece to take home.

No prior experience is needed. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners.

Do I need any experience?
No experience is required! This workshop is beginner-friendly. You’ll get step-by-step guidance and everything you need to create beautiful Jesmonite pieces.
How long is the workshop?
The session lasts 2–3 hours. The full event time, including setup, may be slightly longer for the host’s prep.
How many people can attend?
Each participant must have their own individual ticket to attend. We can accommodate up to 12 guests per session.

What if my pieces aren’t finished in time?
The Jesmonite pieces will be cured enough during the workshop for you to handle them safely. Any additional finishing (sanding/sealing) can be done outside the workshop if required.
What happens if I cancel or can’t attend?
Cancellation and rescheduling policies are outlined in the listing. Generally, advance notice is appreciated so we can offer your spot to others.
Can I customise my colours?
Yes! Guests can choose from a selection of Jesmonite pigments and create their own colour combinations for each piece.
