Everyone needs a little sunshine in their heart, so why come and learn how to make a beautiful heart-shaped suncatcher at this fused glass workshop?

Hosted in a studio overlooking the English Channel, this scenic class will help you master basic glass fusing techniques in a welcoming environment.

You'll choose your own colour scheme then, using a heart-shaped piece of clear glass, build your coloured strips on top, fill any gaps with frit and finish by topping your piece with clear glass before it's ready to fire!

It doesn't matter if you don't know how to use a glass fusing kiln, as your teacher will guide you step-by-step through the creative process and take your finished suncatcher to be fired at 760c at the end of your workshop.

Overlooking the English Channel with views of Looe Island in one direction and Rame Head peninsular in the other, The Glass Shack is situated in a stunning location on the South East Coast of Cornwall.

Having spent most of her working life in corporate finance and business management, Caroline came to work with glass later in life but immediately knew it would be where her future would lie. Mostly self-taught, learning through experimentation and trial and error, she is now happily working alongside her husband, Steve, the “woodmaster” who sources and prepares all the wood bases for the glass pieces.
