What you'll do
Add an element of creativity to your usual nights at the pub and give pottery making a go with this fun, hands-on workshop!
Hosted in The Belvedere, a warm and welcoming Weymouth pub, this pottery making class is a brilliant chance to get your hands messy as you shape and mould a lump of red terracotta clay into your own ceramic masterpiece.
Provided with rough hand-building instructions and tools, you'll be encouraged to get creative and let your imagination run wild in a chilled-out atmosphere. From candle holders and incense burners to fruit bowls and jewellery dishes — there's no limit to what you can create!
It doesn't matter if you've never tried pottery making either, as no experience or artistic ability is required. All you need is your sense of humour and a willingness to get stuck in.
At the end of your ceramics class, Anna will take your finished piece and fire it in the pottery kiln, ready to be collected in two weeks.
Your pots will fire a gorgeous rich orange colour, but if you fancy painting them, there will be paints and brushes ready for anyone wanting to add a splash of colour to their creations.
Please note:
- If you would like to paint your own pottery, you'll need to book a separate 'Painter' ticket for £6 as an "Add-on" to be used two weeks after your original class.
- Your finished piece will be unglazed, so will not be food safe/water tight.
- This class is only suitable for guests over the age of 18.
