Join this fused glass workshop in Kempston and create your own stunning set of hanging hearts.
During this special session, you'll design two beautiful glass heart ornaments using the art of glass fusion. It's a wonderful way to celebrate Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day by layering romantic colours, adding sparkles, and incorporating dichroic accents. You'll make unique pieces that shimmer and catch the light, whether you're crafting a gift for Mum, celebrating with a partner, or simply treating yourself to some creative time.
Your friendly teacher will guide you through the process of layering different colours and textures of glass to build your designs. You can choose from romantic reds, soft spring pastels, or any combination that speaks to you. Once your masterpieces are ready, they'll be carefully fired in a specialist kiln to fuse the glass together, resulting in smooth, durable hearts with integrated hanging holes.
This low-pressure environment is perfect for first-timers, offering a mindful break from the daily grind while you learn a captivating new skill. You'll finish the session feeling inspired by the possibilities of kiln-formed glass, ready to head home while your designs prepare for their final change. Please note: Glass takes approximately 4 – 5 weeks to fire – these are estimates only and may take longer. You'll be emailed when ready with self-collection details. Items must be collected within 30 days or will be disposed of. Due to the nature of high-temperature firing and glass fusing, perfect results cannot be guaranteed and we don't provide refunds for firing outcomes, though we always try to help resolve issues where possible.
