What you'll do
Looking for a fun & relaxing way to express yourself and create all manner of decorative and functional glass projects? Come along to this two-day glass course where you'll be learning all the basics of fused glass, copper foiling (stained glass) bottle art, engraving and gilding.
Under the guidance of an experienced, tutor, you'll enjoy working on a several fun glass art projects. There are many to choose from, including bowls, panels, candle holders, sculpture, jewellery and tiles, so you're sure to find something that catches your eye.
Examples of course content include:
- working with copper foiling, glass frit, cutting glass, enamels, glitter (if that's your thing!), stringers, noodles, confetti, bullseye, spectrum 96 and float glass.
- Try your hand at glass engraving then gilding by embellishing with gold or silver leaf, a discipline you can continue at home with very little equipment achieving fabulous effects! (Very addictive craft)
- Copper foiling (stained glass) - create your own coloured glass box, planter or light hanger project, again a skill you can continue at home with just a few tools & materials
- Bottles - bring along 3 or 4 glass bottles and we will show you how you can turn them into bowls, candle shades and cheese boards! A fun & creative way of recycling
Deborah will guide you through the exciting step-by-step class, and before you know it you will have a box of projects ready to show off to family and friends. As usual our renowned farmhouse lunches are included in this course

At my glass art workshops, you'll learn a new skill, relax in idyllic surroundings and have fun creating a wide array of beautiful fused glass objects, including bowls, panels, sculpture, jewellery and tiles.
My studio established in 2004 is situated on my family's dairy farm in picturesque Cheshire, it is a full time working studio that has also been hosting glass courses with homemade farmhouse lunches ever since. My classes are relaxed and fun, but with a professional approach that has proven popular, with many attendees returning time and time again.
