  • 5/5 from Karen Lindsey, attended Oct 2026: Great Parissian Classics session. Lovely time learning new skills, creating great food and meeting new people. Homemade lunch was delicious. This was my second class, will look forward to my third!
  • 5/5 from Linda Fisher, attended Aug 2026: Had a great time with friends at Corinne’s Parisian Classics class. The atmosphere was fun and supportive and Corinne was excellent at demonstrating and giving us tips and advice. She was well organised so the time was used very effectively but at a pace which was suitable to all and the delicious lunch was an added bonus. I think we were all surprised by how well our tarts turned out, but even more delighted by how much fun we had throughout the class.
  • 5/5 from Alison, attended Aug 2026: Fantastic day! Learnt a lot and had great fun. Will definitely book for another course.
  • 5/5 from Cassie Booker, attended Jun 2026: Great class! I had a lot of fun, Corriane is a wonderful teacher - happy to answer any questions and gives easy to follow instructions. My bakes were delicious and was enjoyed by the whole family.
  • 5/5 from Jenny Bendall, attended Jun 2026: This class was bought for me as a Mothers Day present as I have always wanted to learn how to cook creme brulee and the experience did not disappoint. The day was fun, relaxed and informative and Corinne was a wonderful instructor. I think its fair to say she gave all four of us confidence to tackle pastry and fillings like experts. Our creations looked (and tasted) amazing - as did our lunch which we enjoyed on the patio in the sunshine. I'm already looking at the other courses Corinne runs and can't wait to try out my new-found skills on friends and family.
  • 5/5 from Sharon Clapham, attended Jun 2026: I received a gift from my husband to attend one of Corinne’s cookery classes and opted for the Parisian classics day. Always steered clear of making pastry but with Corinne’s expertise she helped us make some delicious pastries. I really enjoyed the day with the three other attendees and will definitely book one of Corinne’s other classes.
  • 5/5 from Howard Elsey, attended May 2026: My second class, the Parisien class of tarts. It was every bit as good as my first course. I wasn't confide t about mking pastry - now I'm confident. She kindly provided a delicious lunch that we enjoyed eating in the garden.. I attended the course as I wanted to know how to make pastry and I now feel more confident to make 'Parisian classics' (and my partner enjoyed tasting all the tarts I took home)! All in all, this was a wonderful day course and I wouldrecommend learning to cook with Corinne.

  • 5/5 from Stuti Mukherjee, attended Jun 2025: This was an amazing learning experience and an equally relaxing day. Corinne is a great teacher, attentive and responsive to learner’s individual learning needs. I learnt the very useful skills of making perfect pastry, and different fillings, and crème brûlée. I have prior experience of baking following cook books, and learnt so many new tips which are not possible without an experienced teacher. Thank you Corinne.
  • 5/5 from Zaynab, attended Sep 2024: I had such a great time at Corinne’s French baking class over the weekend! We made some amazing pastries, like Tarte Tatin, Tarte au Citron, Flan Pâtissier, Crème Brûlée, and Tarte aux Framboises. Corinne is an awesome teacher—super knowledgeable and full of great tips and tricks. She made everything feel accessible and easy to understand, even for tricky recipes. We used fresh eggs from her own hens for our pastries, which made everything taste even better. We also enjoyed a delicious homemade lunch that Corinne prepared which was a lovely break in between all the baking. The class was held in Corinne’s home kitchen, which made for a super relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. It felt more like baking with friends than a formal class. Whether you're new to baking or have some experience, I'd definitely recommend it. I can’t wait to try making these treats at home!

My passion for cooking comes from my childhood. I was born on the island of Réunion, a small French colony off the coast of Madagascar. Although my parents moved to France when I was very small, the spirit of the island was very much alive in our home, and especially in our kitchen.
I love introducing a touch of sunshine into my cooking and often add tropical flavours from Réunion to my desserts to give a vibrant twist to the elegant French classics. All the recipes used at Gourmandises Académie are my own, and each one has been developed with time and a lot of love. I’m so happy to have been recognised with three stars in the prestigious Great Taste Awards.
I am excited to share some of these recipes with you and look forward to welcoming you into my home as a student of the Gourmandises Académie.
