What you'll do
Come and get creative with us in these two evening sessions: the first being a mosaic-making workshop, and the second being a grouting session for the pieces that you made.Both sessions need to be attended for a complete piece.The vibrant colours and intricate designs of DÃa de los Muertos will come to life as we work on your pieces in this mosaic workshop celebrating this rich cultural tradition.Beginning the workshop with a little symbolism behind Day of the Dead tradition from Mexico that captivated me to create this workshop.The tables will have an array of mosaic materials - in colourful glass tiles, beads, mirror tiles, and glittery tiles and crockery for you to choose from.I myself also choose to create these mosaic sugar skulls in all ways incorporating marigolds for remembrance and candles to light the way for departed souls, making sure everyone has loads of character.Some of you may want to use one of my wooden cut-out shapes or draw your own.We show you how to carefully place each piece on your skull, and it will soon begin to take shape. It's quite a meditative process, allowing you to reflect on loved ones passed, infusing the artwork with personal meaning.Completing your mosaic, you'll feel a sense of accomplishment and a deeper appreciation for this beautiful tradition as I do every time.

I am an artist and run my own business using arts and crafts as a medium for kids to play while they learn. I also run adult mosaic workshops in South London Oval area. I am passionate and wholehearted about what I do! I always strive to deliver that exceptional service and make sure everyone enjoyed the activities. The other part of my business is to make beautiful bespoke mosaics. I developed my skills at art college when I was younger and mosaics has become the medium I am passionate about now that my children are grown up it's so relaxing.
