What you'll do
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you will learn how to crochet reusable cotton washcloths using a technique called Corner to Corner (C2C).
Crochet washcloths are a brilliant reusable, eco-friendly alternative to cheap washcloths containing nasties. Not only that, you can make them in loads of lovely colours and patterns, and they're fab gifts!
C2C is a crochet technique that works from corner to corner, creating a square. It's great for making stripes and can even be practised to the point where you can use it to crochet motifs in your squares!
This workshop is designed to be totally accessible for beginners and will talk you through the pattern and the C2C technique. So don't worry if you've never picked up a hook before!
Crocheting is an incredibly mindful and relaxing craft, and when you become proficient with the stitches, you will find that you can bring your crocheting out anytime you have a spare 5 minutes to relax.
You will cover the ins and outs of crochet patterns and stitches. Throughout this textiles class, you'll soon start to feel the calming and mindful benefits of crochet, build your confidence, and maybe even find your new favourite hobby.
