Upgrade your crochet skills in no time with the help of this expert crochet class, led by a Hobbycraft Artisan. This is designed in an online webinar format, giving you the opportunity to watch a demonstration of the project while also being able to ask any questions.
This course focuses on how to crochet a granny square bag, featuring a sunflower design. You’ll be able to learn the simple techniques in no time, and you can even craft along throughout.
In the first session, you’ll learn how to make your first granny square. Follow along to discover how to combine different stitches to make a sunflower pattern. The crochet stiches featured will include treble stitch, puff stitch and cluster stitch. You’ll also be told how to block and stretch out your squares and what the purpose of this is.
In the second session, you’ll be shown how to lay out your squares and the most effective way of joining the squares with crochet stitches. The host will also explain how to make the handles.
Join the sessions for £10 without a craft kit if you wish to use your own materials, or you can access the full craft kit to support the tutorial for £25 (including delivery). The format allows you to ask questions via a chat function within Zoom, which will be answered by another Artisan during the tutorial without disrupting the demonstration.
