What you'll do

Put your crochet skills into practice with this amigurumi lemon project! Choose from three facial expressions as you make your first lemon during this workshop, then make two more lemon friends in your own time using the materials. You’ll be able to give each one plenty of personality!

This workshop is designed for intermediate crocheters looking to develop their amigurumi skills. It will require experience with double crochet and magic circle Learn how to bring stuffed yarn characters to life with this popular craft, expanding your crochet know-how through a fun, engaging tutorial led by one of our Hobbycraft Artisans.

Everything you will need for this project is included in your craft kit – from the pattern to the yarn and tools. You will be guided through making one of your crochet lemons, learning the techniques required so that you are all set to complete two more using the materials included in your own time.

This is a perfect introduction to amigurumi if you’re already familiar with the core crochet stitches! You’ll soon have three adorable amigurumi lemons ready to show off at home.

Kathryn was brilliant as usual and I loved the idea of the class and learnt lots from the session and enjoyed technics given but a few feedback things might need be considered in future workshops

1) workshop needs to be for intermediate not beginners due to basic learning of crochet stitches needed

2) The pattern included is not clearly written and some if it doesn’t make sense so an easier version would be better to understand

3) The kit should include knitting/crochet markers as these are essential and not to use use a safety pin instead of a proper marker as it splits the wool and not ideal for project. Also it would help to put this in with the kit to help those that don’t have markers

Teacher was amazing (would love to do another of her courses) - kit/instructions need improvement. Pattern instructions are not clear for a beginner and it suggests a safety pin as a marker (which made a mess and meant my lemon had red flecks) - add a stitch marker to the kit, how much extra would it cost as the original instructions said nothing else needed.
