Get in the seasonal spirit and create a free-standing mosaic Christmas tree to display in your home using vitreous glass tiles, ceramic beads, broken vintage plates and buttons.
Perfect for beginners and those with a little more experience, this mosaic workshop is a brilliant chance to get creative at your own pace as you make festive mosaic art. With step-by-step support from expert teacher Rachel, you'll soon discover that mosaic making is like a jigsaw puzzle — the small pieces connect to make one beautiful picture!
In this class, you'll learn to:
- Plan your design.
- Shape your tiles.
- Glue your tiles.
- Grout your finished piece.
You'll finish this class with a new skill set, a clear head and a beautiful handmade Christmas decoration to take home and display.
Please note:
- Your finished mosaic will measure approximately 20cm.
- Although there won't be time to grout your piece during the workshop, Rachel will provide a short demo and enough grout to finish your piece at home.
- All the materials and tools needed to create your 20cm mosaic.
- Plenty of tea, coffee and mince pies!
This class is perfect for beginners - no prior experience is needed.

As a trained secondary school art teacher with 20 years' experience delivering creative projects, I strive to help people improve their wellbeing and quality of life, by making it easy, accessible and fun to get creative anywhere in the world.
With a passion for mosaic, there's so much I can do to show you and your friends how absorbing and enjoyable this colourful and tactile craft can be. Investing in yourself is important and focussing on something creative is so good for the soul. I know that mosaic is the perfect way to unwind for a couple of hours and by nurturing the bit of you that perhaps doesn’t get much attention, I can guarantee you will feel empowered, fulfilled and happy.
