I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop. I’ve worked in collage before but this expanded the ways I could approach it and was a wonderful spur to make and explore more.
Ehryn is such a lovely teacher and the references she gave were all brilliant, varied and inspiring.
The environment was lovely and stress free, with tea and biscuits, and the interactions with other people making were very valuable as we all inspired each other, and came out with very different results.
I’m so glad I went, and I would recommend to people with all levels of experience in collage.

This was a great introduction to collage for anyone who hasn't tried it before. Erhyn was clearly very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions throughout the session. I appreciated the variety of magazines and materials available, and it was interesting to see how quickly different ideas started coming together. I ended up happily surprised by what I was able to create despite being new to collage.

I thoroughly enjoyed the collage workshop on Saturday. The studio was cosy, full of natural light, and provided the perfect creative environment.
Erhyn was a wonderful host—warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. She began the session with a fascinating introduction to the history of collage, which gave valuable context and inspiration for the creative work that followed.
The atmosphere throughout the workshop was friendly, relaxed, and supportive. It felt like a safe space to experiment, explore something new, and express creativity without any pressure. With only four participants in the class, Erhyn was able to spend time with each of us individually, offering thoughtful suggestions and encouragement tailored to our projects. And she prepared tea like an old friend!
What surprised me most was how much meaning emerged from the collage I created. After the workshop, I sent a photo of it to my daughter, who immediately connected with its themes. The piece touches on issues that are close to her studies and values—migration, war, the love of life, injustice, and resistance. She loved it so much that I have decided to give it to her when she returns to Edinburgh in September for her final year at university. It feels far more personal and meaningful than a good-luck card; it is something I created with my heart.
I left feeling inspired, confident, and excited to continue exploring collage. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to try something creative in a welcoming and nurturing environment.
