Looking to awaken your taste buds? Come along to this flavourful cooking class in Didsbury and learn the culinary secrets of Caribbean cuisine!
The Caribbean is a wonderful melting pot of flavours with influences from Africa, India, Asia, and Europe. Aromatic with the underlying sweetness of fruits in many savoury dishes, Caribbean cuisine has distinct flavours and a rich history.
During this delicious cooking class, you will dive into this delicious mix of flavours and influences and you'll be shown how to cook Caribbean food to enjoy at home.
Example menu:
- Banana and coconut roti with hot papaya chutney.
- Jerk chicken kebabs.
- Black Bean and Hot Pepper Stew with fried plantain.
- Roasted Peanut, Sweet Potato and Okra Curry.
- Chow Chow and Taro Coconut Curry.
Guided by an expert chef and friendly teacher, you will learn how to cook a delicious Caribbean feast from scratch. Don't worry if you're not the best cook in the kitchen, this fun and friendly cooking course is perfect for beginners and there will be plenty of help and support along the way.
At the end of the class, you will get to enjoy the fruits of your labour as you sit down to dig into your Caribbean feast with your fellow cooks. Head home with a box of leftovers and the culinary skills to make more delicious Caribbean food at home!
