What you'll do

If you're looking for fun ways to pick up some new artistic skills, Finsbury Park Painting Club invites you to tap into your creativity at our painting workshop. Come with a friend or come to make friends, this workshop is a chilled creative space. You do not need to have any painting skills - this workshop welcomes all levels of painting.

In each session you will be provided with an array of images to choose from which you can follow, or just do your own thing. At the workshop you will be encouraged to discover your own painting style!

All materials are provided - canvas, easels, acrylic paint and brushes. Once the class is over, you can take your painting home with you.

Some sweet treats, herbal teas and water is provided but you can also BYOB and any snacks you fancy, making this a brilliant place to relax, bring a friend and enjoy some creative downtime.

The teacher was great very supporting and nice, if you want to paint however you feel like she will support it and guide you not a selfish teacher that wants it her way.

It was a very relaxed vibe witch I love as you open up more, that’s not normally the case when you try something you never have done before.

I loved this painting class. The teacher was nice and helpful. In general it was a very relaxing experience. She put some music on, there were snack and coca cola. I had a snack at the end. Overall, I recommend it!

Absolutely fantastic course! Really relaxed, but the host was on hand to walk us through whatever we need or help with colour mixing. There was a great selection of reference pictures to chose from, so you didn't have to come up with your own idea if creativity isn't your strongest suit. I'm definitely going back

The venue was amazing, really cosy and cute vibe with great music! The teacher was lovely and so helpful especially when it came to getting my colours right for my vision. All the materials were really good quality and there were paintbrushes in abundance so we had lots of sizes to cater to our needs. We were celebrating a friends birthday and so it was the perfect experience for that. It would also be such a great date night option as well. I had a lovely time and cannot wait to hang my art up at home. 10/10 recommend! <3

Great materials and set up - unfortunately we weren’t able to sit next to each other and were opposite instead which was a bit of a shame. The teacher was lovely although there could have been a bit more instruction or guidance for those who are beginners

We had a such fun time and the music was great but we had hardly any input from the teacher. She was reading or out of the room and gave very little guidance. Not quite what we expected for the money. It would have been good to have loo roll and towels in the bathroom.

I’m so sorry that I didn’t give you enough guidance! It is often hard to gauge how much help people want with their paintings. I always help those who ask, and try to be friendly enough so people can approach me for anything they need.

Regarding going in and out of class, I left the class room briefly to receive a delivery, the other couple times I was washing dirty paintbrushes in the sink which located in the room next door.

I apologise for the toilet paper, I didn’t realise it had run out, if I knew I would have replaced it!

We enjoyed our class so much, it was very chilled the 3 hours went by so quickly I could have stayed longer! Kenya was very helpful and relaxed, we listened to chilled music ate a few snacks and sipped on drinks whilst we worked on our masterpieces! I bought this for my friend’s birthday and we really enjoyed it! The room was small but atmospheric, there were lots of pictures to choose from for you to paint and everything you needed was supplied, like paints, aprons, brushes and even cups of water for washing your brush. The BYOB aspect was fun too as you get to drink what you like.

We didn’t get much engagement from the teacher though, so if you’re new to painting then this may not be the class for you. But if you know a bit about painting (or have a friend who knows like I did) then you should be fine!

This was a very fun experience for my friends and I. The session was 3 hours which is longer than most sip and paint offer so you didn’t feel rushed to complete your art. Of course, BOYB was most appealing and you save so much from being able to supply your own drink. The teacher was friendly, patient and understanding, she also had a good range of art that she we could choose from and replicate. I would certainly recommend this experience.

Went here for a birthday celebration and it was such a fabulous experience! SUPER convenient location - right near the station plus a few minutes from the park (great for pres and a picnic!). The teachers were also really attentive the whole time, and helped in any way they could. The materials they provided (brushes, paints, canvases, pencils, etc) and references we were able to use were fun to work with, and they also provided cups for the alcohol. Everyone else who was there also seemed to be having a good time - all in all, the vibes were immaculate ^-^ 10/10!

Nobody in my group had painted in adulthood until this class and it was SO fun. Kenya is kind, interesting and engaging. She encourages you to do your own thing but offers useful tips along the way if needed. Shes also super approachable and chatty. Lovely vibe, snacks provided, great music. The class is 10 second walk from Finsbury park station, and it's definitely worth travelling for. A really fun evening, I'd definitely recommend.

Kenya was absolutely amazing. She helped us to relax and trust the process of our paintings because we turned up not having a clue what to paint we had such a nice chat throughout. A really chilled environment, helped us to switch off from the week. Would definitely do again. Thanks Kenya

I booked a private session with my friends to celebrate my birthday and it was the best decision! Kenya was such an amazing host, the atmosphere and music was so fun, there was snacks, drinks, good vibes only.
There was also such a range of painting materials and we had so much creative freedom to explore different art styles, that you don't always find at other paint parties.
Kenya really went the extra mile to make sure we all had a great time!

I would 100% recommend booking this session, me and my friends absolutely loved every minute of it

Me and my girlfriend had a great session at our recent paint and sip with out teacher called Kenya. She was a great teacher who encouraged us a lot and also helped us with the colours for our painting. She provided treats for us while also allowing us to to drink (me and my girlfriend had juice). Overall it was an amazing experience and lots of fun.

We had a great time at Finsbury Park Painting Club - there was a fun, relaxed atmosphere and we could choose to paint whatever we wanted! Kenya provided everything we needed - lots of materials to choose from - paints, brushes and pictures to use for inspirstion. Kenya is very helpful and offered great painting tips!

Kenya was an absolutely amazing host! The vibe at the workshop was incredible, great music, friendly attendees and the painting itself was so much fun. There was plenty of paints and inspiration pictures so if you’re not sure what to paint you have the support and direction of Kenya but also inspiration to kick start your creativity. Kenya also came round with snacks for everyone which was so cute and thoughtful. If you’re ever in Finsbury Park you must attend!

Argggg this experience was amazing! Such good vibes and our teacher was so lovely and kind! Honestly not a bad word to say! Defo will be going again!
10/10 recommend for everyone, all equipment provided and loads of varieties of snacks to choose from

A lovely first time painting experience for us! Kenya was very welcoming and helpful. The session was really free, we were provided with all the materials (paint, brushes, aprons, canvas) including some pictures for inspiration and then we painted whatever we wanted. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, we made a new friend there too!
We brought our own drinks and we were also kindly given some snacks during the session.
It was great fun and 3 hours is surprisingly not as long as you think, depending on your idea and skill.
The location is great as it is just a few minutes from the station - although we had trouble finding the doorbell for the workshop but thankfully, two lovely ladies nearby pointed us in the right direction.
I would recommend it!
