Steve was welcoming and encouraging, frequently circulating round the attendees to check on an individual's process and answer any queries. He gave frequent tips about ingredients and tweaking cooking as the meal progressed.

The venue was airy and pleasant. Given the acoustics, and the understandable level of noise associated with attendees using a metal spoon to stir ingredients in a balti dish, it would have been useful if Steve had a microphone.

Would throughly recommend.

Lovely experience, Chef Steve is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate, although my one piece of constructive feedback would be for him to wear a lapel microphone! The food was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing.

Corporate Mystery Bag Cooking Challenge Workshop

I had a fantastic day out at Steve's Balti cooking class. Steve was very knowledgeable and very willing to pass on his vast Knowledge. We cooked a starter in an aluminium pan then a main meal in the Balti. I will be back for another class soon, and I highly recommend it to anybody who want to learn or improve their Indian cooking skills.

We were guided through the recipes and the. Curries we cooked were delicious.

Steve was very informative and some great top tips given.

We bought the balti dishes, spices and cook books as extras and we can’t wait to give them a try!

Steve was absolutely brilliant – calm, inclusive, and a joy to learn from. His knowledge is impressive, but it’s his easy, engaging style that really makes the class shine. We cooked a beautiful butter chicken with perfectly fluffy rice, plus a divine salad, raita, and poppadoms (yes, dreams do come true). A truly fabulous class, made even better by sitting down to eat our curry with a well-earned sense of achievement. Steve was an excellent tutor and knew his history of the spices as well as the cooking processes of the various part of the dish.. This was a gift from my son in USA and with the wonders of technology, despite the miles between us, all went very smoothly when the one of participants had to be changed. Thoroughly enjoyed the class, the quality of the produce was excellent and the tutorial was at a pace that you could follow and get involved in. We made Butter Chicken and it was delicious. Steven was very informative and it was nice to hear the background of the dish and its origin along with information about the spices used. Would highly recommend and will be on the look out for another course.

We had a great time on this Art of Perfect Pizza Cookery Class. Steve, our teacher was enthusiastic and his obvious love of pizza making shone through. We learnt how to make the dough, receiving some good tips for rolling it out and adding toppings, before cooking our own pizzas in the pizza oven. We had enough dough to make 4 pizzas so there was plenty to eat and plenty to take home with us. I would recommend this class to anyone looking to learn/improve their pizza skills. The class was a birthday present for my husband (we, the rest of the family, tagged along as we thought it would be more fun that way - and it was), he had bought a pizza oven a year previously and the results were varied but now we can look forward to some perfectly tasty homemade pizzas.

A wonderful experience! Steve was a great host - well prepared, friendly and informative. Not only did we learn to cook a great meal (butter chicken/paneer, pilau rice, salad, raita and flame grilled popadum), Steve shared great stories on the Indian culture and the history behind the popular meals we eat today. I was looking for something a bit different to celebrate my Big Birthday and after seeing all his 5 star reviews, asked Steve if he could do a version of his Authentic Indian Cookery experience for a private party. Right from the outset I was impressed by Steve's prompt and friendly communication.

Steve was very flexible finding the perfect venue for us, and was easily able to accommodate the 3 veggies amongst us (butter paneer is now my favourite dish - who knew!).

On the day, all 13 of us had our own workstation already laid out for us, with all the equipment we needed and the ingredients measured out in containers. Steve took us through the cooking instructions one step at a time, which ensured nobody got left behind - pretty impressive when you consider the wide range of cooking experience amongst the 13 of us! Steve circulated round the kitchen to offer encouragement and advice - he even gave out his version of a 'Hollywood handshake'!

By the end of the session we had each produced a main course, basmati rice and salad that you'd e happy to get from your favourite takeaway - which we promptly sat down to eat together. Steve even sent us the recipes and instructions so we can recreate the taste at home.

From the initial contact through to eating the results of our efforts, Steve was friendly and professional. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun too! Steve's enthusiasm for cooking is infectious. Would definitely book again, and highly recommend if you're looking for a party with a difference!! Thanks Steve for making my big birthday so memorable!

A lovely morning our first time cooking indian food it was delicious butter chicken, pilau rice, side salad, dip and papadums. Steve our chef was brilliant he went at a steady pace with easy to follow instructions he was very knowlegeable and gave us lots of cooking tips. We will definately be doing another class :)

Loved this experience. This was my present from my daughter. Nice warm welcome with a hot drink. Plenty of explanation of what we will be cooking. The class was a good pace and class size not too big. The instructor was approachable and very knowledgeable. He kept checking our progress to see if we were all at the same levels. Making the curry, rice and salad was good fun lots of tips on the way. We stayed at the end to eat our food and it didn’t disappoint. Thank you for a good morning cooking and thank you to your assistant who made sure we all were okay. Will look into doing another class.

Brilliant class! Steve is genuinely lovely and his passion is clearly reflected in his teaching from start to finish. Everyone in the class can work at your own pace which is great if you’re a beginner or not completely confident. I forgot the steps a couple of times (rolling out the dough and putting the pizza in the oven) but Steve was really patient when explaining it to me. One of the best parts of the class is how much you learn from Steve. He doesn’t rush when giving demonstrations or give you confusing explanations, it’s simple and direct which is exactly what you need. Definitely would recommend this class to pizza lovers

What a great class: the art of perfect pizza cooking. Well, you don't just cook - you create! From a dough, to a your topping in2 the oven and out again... consume your brilliant pizza.

Steve guides you through all aspects in a gentle manner. No flashy, gimmicky techniques plain and simple. Ending in you consuming your delicious creation.

Why did I attend? The dough... it's all about the dough! I've been trying to create my own pizzas at home, but I just couldn't get to grips with the fundamental dough. I watched Jamie and others in YTube. All telling me how simple it is, but it wasn't for me. In steps Steve and guess what... it is made simple. Brilliant and the course has delivered everything I wanted.

This is a great course Steve is superb... go for it if your looking to develop your 'pizza' techniques.

Attended Steve’s Balti class as a birthday present for my son. It didn’t disappoint. Although initially hesitant about booking something in someone’s house, it all worked out very well and was a great success.

We were able to write down the method and ingredients so we can recreate at home.Maybe a handout would have been easier? We took pens and paper as suggested.

Loved the cooking part and came away feeling inspired and ready to recreate at home. Steve kindly emailed a list of suppliers so a Balti pan is on route! That said It isn’t a necessity your usual kitchen equipment would be ok.
