Fall in love with the art of impasto! This textured, 3D art technique will add a new dimension to your painting projects, allowing you to create unique effects that stand out from the canvas.
Led by one of our Hobbycraft Artisans, learn how you can use texture paste to create impasto works of art. The technique involves laying paint thickly so that it stands out, with the texture paste on hand to help you create those details.
Makers will prepare their canvas and learn how to use a palette knife set to apply the paint to the canvas, ensuring it will leave a relief effect that stands out on the surface. Once you’ve mastered the technique, you will continue to lay down 3D petals to build up a statement art piece that you can proudly display once complete.
After the workshop, you’ll receive a video to help you continue with the technique in your own time. It’ll be handy for completing the project, as well as for making more impasto works.
This workshop is also available as a private workshop for group bookings of 5+.
