Master the basic skills of crochet with this live online crochet course and learn to create a wonderful keepsake blanket. You'll learn the skills you need to create your granny square blanket over a series of three online crochet classes.
Don't worry if you've never tried crochet before - this craft course is designed for complete beginners.
By the end of your three crochet workshops, you will:
- Know the difference between US and UK crochet terminology.
- Understand how your hook size, tension, and yarn weight affects the outcome of your finished piece.
- Have learnt the basic abbreviations you need to read a pattern.
- Be able to cast a foundation chain.
- Complete a row of single crochet stitches (US).
- Practice the correct way to turn and continue the next row.
- Complete a row of double knit (DK) crochet stitches (US).
- Learn how to slip stitch to join a row and move along a row.
- Be able to change colours.
- Have created a beautiful granny stitch square blanket - as big as you like!
If you're looking for things to do at home and would like to learn how to crochet, this live online craft class is a wonderful option.
