Beginner Modern Calligraphy Course at Home

3. Enjoy the online class. After booking, you'll receive a link to a Zoom meeting. At the time of the class, use that link to join. During the class, you can easily ask questions and get immediate responses. Zoom is free and easy to use, on any device. You're in control of your privacy - you can mute yourself and hide your webcam if and when you prefer.

Learn the basics of lettering calligraphy in this ten-week course. If you want some mindful indoor activities, this online course will help you relax and refresh.

This comprehensive course teaches all the skills needed to master the quintessential calligraphy tool, a pointed nib! Learn how to write in calligraphy and how to control your nib and ink flow with your talented teacher, Shamima. Then progress to forming elegant letterforms and styling your calligraphy.

The online class size is small, so you can get the attention you need to learn calligraphy online and ask as many questions as you like.

With demonstrations by your tutor each week to watch and copy, discover ways to add personality to your work by bouncing letters, flourishing, and creating simple layouts. Our drills, exercises, challenges, and projects give plenty of opportunities to practice and experiment with every technique.

This course starts on Friday 5th March and runs every Friday until 14th May. There will be a 1-week break on Good Friday 2nd April.
