What you'll do
Turn all your pottery making dreams into reality with this fun, all-day wheel throwing class from Rachel Byass Ceramics!
Whether you're a superfan of The Great Pottery Throwdown or you want to get hands-on with homemade clay at your next team building activity, this workshop is a great chance to get creative in a fully-equipped pottery studio.
Friendly guide Rachel will teach you step-by-step as you learn to make up to five pieces of handmade pottery, such as vases, bowls, planters or even a beautiful mug. If you need handmade gift ideas — look no further than this fun pottery class.
You'll start by watching helpful demonstrations before learning to centre and cone up your clay on the pottery wheel, ready to shape and trip your pots. Once dried, you can paint your pieces in your choice of 18 lovely colours.
No experience is required, as Rachel has over 38 years of expertise to share and will provide everything you need to create gorgeous handmade ceramics — including your own pottery wheel!
At the end of this full-day wheel throwing class, your pieces will be fired and glazed for you to collect within 10 days.

Rachel Byass Ceramic studio has been open for 38 years. We have a variety of resources and tools to making claying around with pottery a lot of fun. We do wheel throwing pottery, paint your own pottery, parties, events and more.
Rachel also has taught world wide and has also published a book on design for ceramics and more. Rachel's studio is a 200 year old mill that has 5 wheels, clay extrude and slab rollers and lots of other equipment.
