Absolutely loved this class. I was a complete beginner and was taught everything I needed to know. It is a great set up and so personalised even down to the hot drinks and cake on arrival and drinks throughout the class. Having received a pottery wheel for my birthday along with some clay a few years ago, I was delighted at finding Linda's taster workshop whilst scrolling through Facebook.
Myself and two friends came along and were made most welcome by Linda and her husband, who was also on hand.
Linda demonstrated & explained what she was doing - she made it look so easy! Her enthusiasm was contagious!
We learnt how to centre the clay on the wheel - how to open it & pull the clay & the techniques & procedures involved in making a receptacle (of some sort)... ("anchor Lynne!") She was hands on - explained & demonstrated the processes & how to rectify any issues.
The atmosphere was very relaxed and great fun. We came away buzzing from a really pleasant afternoon & had all made something that was worth keeping. We are going back in a couple of weeks time to pick up our pieces. The two hours flew by in no time.
I'd be delighted to attend another of her classes - and I can't wait to get my wheel back out!

Wee date day for myself and my wife. Great location. We were made to feel very welcome and had some excellent coaching. Plenty time getting our hands into the clay and practicing before attempting, and succeeding in making some useable pottery!

I booked a lesson for myself, my sister and mum. As complete beginners who have never touched a pottery wheel before, Linda was an amazing, very welcoming, and patient teacher. The studio is very nice and cosy, the perfect environment to relax and concentrate! We all left feeling very fulfilled and happy with our creations.

Loved it. So much fun I didn’t want to stop. You get to have as many attempts, and create as many items as you can fit into the time with Linda’s guidance. I actually made a few half decent pots for my first time at pottery lol. Linda is a great teacher and herself and her husband made us feel so welcome. Totally recommend it.
