Excellent workshop, definitely recommended! Great intro or refresher in lino printing. Carved 2 blocks and came home with multiple prints of each. The classroom was light and spacious, a comfortable atmosphere. The teacher (Emily I think) was super friendly and gave clear explanation and demonstrations. She was on hand to give guidance and encouragement throughout to everyone and we achieved more than expected. Group size was perfect. Tea and drinks were an added bonus. Thank you!!

Loved the taster embroidery session today. Learned a lot and Jess was a lovely patient teacher. We had a very small group which was nice. Also liked being able to take the hoop and work we had done home. Thank you.

An incredible class from the wonderful team at Something Good! Instructions were clear, and the pace was excellent. Loved the mix of making together and solo practice with all the guide and support as needed. This made me feel well equipped to continue making more notebooks at home.

Great beginners' course in an incredibly friendly and welcoming environment with just the right amount of thoughtful support. It was great to have a couple of weeks at the end to develop my own ideas. I will be coming back!

Tim • Attended Sep 2026

I loved doing the four different types of printing, I only wish there were 44 not 4.
Half of the time I was the only person on the course, but Emily still made it feel comfortable and she was always really helpful, but also left me to do my own thing at the appropriate times, which I liked.
I now have loads of t shirts with my reduction lino prints and also have been charity shopping for cheap frames for my many prints.
I really enjoyed the six weeks.
Thanks

A well run, fun and affordable workshop. Easy to find location, good facilities including an accessible toilet. Everything needed to achieve a good end result was provided; materials, guidance and a friendly approachable attitude. Most of the class didn't quite finish so a generous supply of materials was readily available to take home to enable you to complete your masterpiece at home! A good introduction to one method of beading which, I'm sure will encourage you to do more. Highly recommended.

Bayeux for beginners
The class was fun and friendly straight from the start.
5 strangers spent 3 hours learning how to recreate a piece of history in stitch form.
Jess the tutor took time to explain the stitches and was encouraging throughout.
I was thrilled with my piece and what I learnt in the class.
The 3 hours flew pass and Jess kindly packed up threads so we could finish our pieces at home.
Nothing was too much trouble and we all felt supported by her.
A very big thank you

This was my second workshop with Something good workshops and once again a great experience. Emily was wonderful, super knowledgeable, patient and just really fun to talk to. I learned japanese book binding technique from scratch and feel so confident now that I will be able to do it on my own. During the class all utensils was provided, but I was so happy to be able to purchase them at a very fair price after the class so that I can continue the pratice at home. The studio is beautiful and I can´t wait to book more workshops in the future.

Second class at Something Good Workshops and was another wonderful experience. I had only embroidered once before at their beginners workshop and this class was paced well to learn all the key stitches for embroidering my napkins. Was also lovely and comfortable chatting with other attendees and left feeling so inspired for my next craft projects. So grateful to Emily and Jess for making such a beautiful and welcoming space to be creative!

I really can't recommend this class enough. I learnt so much in such a short amount of time but most importantly, I loved it. Jess created an environment which was so relaxed, creative and the perfect de-stress after a day at work. She was encouraging and accommodating and helped us problem-solve along the way. I've come away with lots of new sewing skills and something i'm proud of (though i didn't finish it because i'm slow!)

One of the best workshops I have ever attended, and I have been to a lot! The location is superb, well-lit comfy space, and just so warm and welcoming.
But what I loved most was the dedication of Jess, the workshop leader, in making sure that my vision of my piece was realised. She made sure I learnt what I had come to learn, offering me extra time.
Just the best, I will be back very soon.
