We went here for my birthday and I had a really fun time. The teacher was really personable and helpful as it was our first time throwing, but by the end we all got a decent grasp of how to do it and each ended up with a couple pieces we were happy with. The space was fun and pretty quiet as well.

Review: Matcha Tasting Experience & Matcha Bowl Pottery Class
We attended the class on Sunday 26th April and had such a lovely experience from start to finish.
The session began with a prompt and friendly introduction, and the hosts immediately made us feel welcome. The matcha tasting was both informative and relaxing—we came away with some really useful knowledge that will help us enjoy matcha more at home.
After the tasting, we moved on to making our own matcha bowls, which was such a calming and enjoyable part of the experience. It was incredibly satisfying to create something ourselves, and we can’t wait to see our finished glazed bowls (I believe they’re called chawan).
The hosts were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and always on hand to help.
Overall, a really enjoyable and relaxing experience that we would definitely recommend.

Great experience. 10/10 value for money: for the first hour you do the matcha tasting and you can actually try different type of matcha and choose your favourite.
Second hour is the most interactive as you do your own bowl.

I found this class off of TikTok and it did not disappoint! The staff was extremely friendly and we got to do everything as listed on the booking: taste matcha, create our own matcha latte, and then create our own ceramic matcha bowl. The class was split in to two portions. First the matcha tasting in which you tried several matcha teas, explored the flavour profiles but in a casual "no wrong answers" kind of way before being taught how make your own matcha latte, all whilst learning some interesting facts about matcha and it's history.
Secondly the pottery forming and painting of your own matcha bowl.
Both sections were excellent. Kaya and Jude were both knowledgeable, friendly and always on hand to help if needed. A great way to spend a couple of hours in London.

Such a great class for beginners! The teacher gave a really simple, yet informative demonstration and then let us try ourselves. She came over and helped with our individual difficulties when we needed it.
You learn the basics of throwing, cone, puck, centre, and pull. And you get to keep one of your pieces in the end, choosing from three available glazes (white, olive green, and a blue-y green). You can take another one of your pieces for £10 extra if you’d like.
Everyone was really friendly. I’m an art student and wanted to have an introduction to ceramics, this was the perfect class for me. It’s quite cheap, as pottery throwing classes go. The building is pretty easy to navigate, the studio is on the smaller side but not at all cramped. I don’t know much about pottery but everything seemed to be of good quality. Just a 3 minute walk from Caledonian Road station, it’s really accessible. Definitely would recommend.
