Had such a lovely time learning how to make matcha! Since it was our first time, we had quite a few doubts, but we received lots of hands-on guidance and help throughout the process, which made the experience really enjoyable and easy to follow.
We were also given the creative freedom to design our own matcha bowls, which was such a fun and personal touch. Both teachers were incredibly kind, patient, and encouraging throughout the session.
The atmosphere was another highlight! The space was cosy and beautifully lit, and because we went on a weekend, the whole floor was quiet and peaceful, which made the experience even more relaxing.
My friend and I really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back again soon!

Both teachers were very kind and attentive, regularly coming over to offer guidance and help us learn new skills while still giving us plenty of freedom to be creative./r/n/r/nAlthough two hours didn/u2019t feel quite long enough to finish painting our pieces, they very kindly allowed us to stay for an extra 20 minutes or so until we were happy with them, which we really appreciated./r/n/r/nThe experience was a birthday gift from a friend, and redeeming the gift card was easy, with several convenient dates available. I took myself on a solo date to this class and really enjoyed it! meeting new people, learning more about matcha history, the taste and smell test was the best and zoning out when the pottery part kicked in was so nice. Cindy is so lovely, a great host! Thank you Lei and Xiao for an amazing session. I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to make matcha (including tips for the correct measurements etc. and understanding the specific techniques). My favourite part of the session was making the bowl! It’s a therapeutic and fun experience and the staff are there to help whenever needed. I went for a solo activity but recommend for solo, couples and friends too!

Honestly had the best time at this matcha and pottery class! It was such a fun experience from start to finish.
The girls running it were so incredibly nice and patient with us, and they honestly played a huge role in helping me create my absolute masterpiece. Designing and painting the handmade pottery while learning about matcha was just the perfect vibe.

I learnt a lot about matcha like it originally been sourced in china, I wasn’t aware you couldn’t touch the bottom of the matcha bowl. Learnt how to make the matcha more frothy.
The bowl making experience was quite well, it did seem hard especially trying to make the correct shape but overall it was fun.

Review: Matcha Tasting Experience & Matcha Bowl Pottery Class
We attended the class on Sunday 26th April and had such a lovely experience from start to finish.
The session began with a prompt and friendly introduction, and the hosts immediately made us feel welcome. The matcha tasting was both informative and relaxing—we came away with some really useful knowledge that will help us enjoy matcha more at home.
After the tasting, we moved on to making our own matcha bowls, which was such a calming and enjoyable part of the experience. It was incredibly satisfying to create something ourselves, and we can’t wait to see our finished glazed bowls (I believe they’re called chawan).
The hosts were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and always on hand to help.
Overall, a really enjoyable and relaxing experience that we would definitely recommend.

Great experience. 10/10 value for money: for the first hour you do the matcha tasting and you can actually try different type of matcha and choose your favourite.
Second hour is the most interactive as you do your own bowl.

I found this class off of TikTok and it did not disappoint! The staff was extremely friendly and we got to do everything as listed on the booking: taste matcha, create our own matcha latte, and then create our own ceramic matcha bowl. The class was split in to two portions. First the matcha tasting in which you tried several matcha teas, explored the flavour profiles but in a casual "no wrong answers" kind of way before being taught how make your own matcha latte, all whilst learning some interesting facts about matcha and it's history.
Secondly the pottery forming and painting of your own matcha bowl.
Both sections were excellent. Kaya and Jude were both knowledgeable, friendly and always on hand to help if needed. A great way to spend a couple of hours in London.
