In this engaging and creative 6 week Glass Fusing Workshop, you discover the art of working with different warm glass techniques. You will learn how to incorporate inclusions, various glass powders (frit), and glass pieces to craft your very own unique creations. Learn about slumping, painting. No previous knowledge is required for this workshop, making it suitable for beginners.
Alleviate any fears you may have as you step into this exciting activity. If you are feeling unsure or lacking ideas, worry not! Plenty of inspirational ideas will be available to spark your imagination and guide you through the process.
  • During the class, you will work with a variety of glass techniques.
  • You will experiment with inclusions, glass powders (frit), and glass pieces.
  • Learn a variety of techniques in slumping
  • Inspirational ideas will be provided if you need guidance before creating a final piece.
Immerse yourself in the experience of creating with glass as you explore different techniques and materials. The class will be a hands-on learning opportunity that may leave you feeling inspired and proud of what you can achieve. By the end of the workshop, you will have crafted several sample pieces leading to your own final unique glass creation to have at home and admire.

I've loved being creative my whole life so, after travelling and living in Greece for 13 years, I returned to the UK to study in Swansea, achieving a BA and MA in Architectural Glass, followed by a teaching degree in Art and Design. It was such an exciting time, learning and teaching everything I'd always loved. Later, as part of my professional development in teaching, a taster session using Precious Metal Clay was tagged onto the end of a short course and that was it, I was hooked on that too. I did evening classes for three years with Gorseion College for a City and Guilds, followed by taking up traditional silversmithing classes at the same college. I've been making jewellery and doing glasswork as a business since 2013, passing on my enthusiasm in my classes.
