Vietnamese Cooking Class

If you're keen to learn some new cooking recipes and want a break from the norm, come along to this cooking class in Birmingham and learn to cook delicious, fresh and healthy Vietnamese food.

Covering well-known dishes from the region including pho bo, Vietnamese summer rolls and beef salad you will learn to prepare and cook each dish from scratch at your own individual workstation. Guided by your expert host Tina, you'll enjoy learning at your own pace as you cook along, picking up a range of useful cooking skills as you go. From knife skills to spice blending, you'll extend your knowledge and confidence in the kitchen.

At the end of the class, you'll enjoy the three-course meal that you've made together with the other students or alternatively take your meal home with you to share with family and friends.

During the class, you'll learn:

• Understanding Asian spices and how to combine to make spice pastes.
• How to balance flavours.
• Knife skills.

Menu (subject to availability and seasonality):

• Vietnamese summer rolls. Fresh-tasting rice paper rolls packed with prawns, light vermicelli noodles, carrots, cucumber and herbs, with a sweet ginger chilli dipping sauce.
• Vietnamese beef salad. Low-calorie, high protein and gluten free, this Vietnamese steak salad makes an ideal midweek meal.
• Vietnamese pho bo. The iconic street food noodle dish, including delicious broth.

Please note: this class is not suitable for vegans, vegetarians or people with nut and crustacean allergies.
