What you'll do
Unleash your creativity and discover the art of crafting beautiful terrazzo coasters at our Terrazzo Class in the beautiful North East! In this exciting workshop, led by our friendly teacher, Debbie, you'll have the opportunity to learn how to create stunning homeware pieces using the eco-friendly material called Jesmonite. Join us for a fun and creative experience and connect with like-minded others.
During this hands-on class, you'll learn how to mix and cast Jesmonite into silicone moulds, allowing you to create your very own unique terrazzo coasters. Don't worry if you're new to this craft, Debbie will guide you every step of the process and offer on-hand help whenever you need it.
Using a range of pigments, you'll get to create your own bespoke base colour for your coasters, while the terrazzo chips will be pre-made. Once your coasters are cast, you'll learn the techniques of sanding and polishing to reveal the intricate terrazzo design that you've created. Finally, you will seal your coasters so they’re ready to take home.
The class will run in a relaxed and supportive environment, allowing you to explore your artistic side and embark on a transformative experience. You'll leave with not only new skills but also a set of coasters that you can proudly use and display, adding a touch of unique style to your living space.
The best part? Jesmonite is a water-based resin material, making it safe to use and friendly to the environment. Our workshop includes a beverage and cake, so you can relax and enjoy the creative process with like-minded individuals.
