What you'll do
Throw down the gauntlet with your friends for this special workshop.
Enjoy a glass of sparkling Prosecco on arrival, then learn to make 2 cocktails (featuring our taste-tingling Pornstar Martini). Then throw down your skills on the wheel to make a mug.
Begin the evening meeting your hosts Kelly (our mixologist) and Naomi (our expert potter).
- You'll make the first of your 2 cocktails.
- Our first potters will then take to the wheel to start the proceedings.
- We will make the second cocktail halfway through the session.
Naomi will help and guide everyone on the wheel and make sure you all have a vessel made from the experience.
Once everyone has made their masterpiece, you'll have the opportunity to decorate your mug with embellishments or engravings. If you'd like to return to paint your mug and have it glazed to become food-safe and usable, it's £15 payable on the day.
You're welcome to bring snacks or order a takeaway too!
- Non-alcoholic options are available.
- Note: We operate the Challenge 25 policy. If you're lucky enough to look under this age, we will ask for ID before any alcohol can be served.

What you'll get
- 1 glass of Prosecco on arrival and you will learn to make two cocktails.
- You will then each get to make your mug, firstly throwing the main shape on the wheel and then pulling your own handle and attaching it.
What to bring
No requirements needed. We have wrap-around aprons which cover most of your clothing, but there is always the possibility of getting messy while throwing.

Hi, I’m Naomi. I set up Jasmine Pottery Studios back in April 2019 when I fully transformed an empty shop space in Wakefield to be a fully functioning pottery studio. My love for teaching and getting my hands dirty dates back much further however, as I first started out working as a freelance tutor in adult learning delivering art and pottery workshops. It was during this time that the idea for the studio started to take shape, as I wanted to be able to share my passion for clay with as many people as possible. Children, beginners, CEOs. Everyone!
Why clay? Simple. I truly believe it can be a powerful tool for improving wellbeing, building social skills and letting your creativity soar. Luckily for me, my Partner and potter-in-crime Pepe shares the same view.
Away from the studio, I'm a mum of two boys.
